Reme Gold - Pottery
Réme Gold loves working with porcelain clay. Its pure whiteness adds intensity and brilliance to the red, blue and celadon glazes she applies over it. She draws loose, free-hand designs of delicate flowers, hearts, bold abstract patterns or even a whimsical portrait of her sister’s cat. Her other love is dance, and her joy of movement shines through all of her work.
Réme is a retired kindergarten teacher who has been a potter at Mudflat Studios in Somerville, MA, since the early 1970s. She creates almost all her pieces on a potter’s wheel and high fires them in a gas kiln. Like all Clever Hand Pottery, her work is food safe and can go in the oven, the dishwasher and the microwave.
