Francoise Han - Potter

Originally from France, Francoise moved to the US in 1971 and attended school to study textiles & printmaking. She went on to run a successful antiquarian print business for many years. Upon retiring, Francoise discovered pottery-making accidentally. From the first week, it became a passionate relationship with clay, porcelain in particular.

Francoise has had a love of flowers ever since childhood when she gardened with her father.  Flowers remain her inspiration for working in clay.

Using different surface decoration techniques like sgraffito & hand-painting, Francoise focuses on creating pieces that are both beautiful and functional. All of her work is food safe, as well as microwave and dishwasher safe.
