Sholeh Regna - Jewelry
Each piece of Sholeh Regna’s porcelain jewelry is unique: a tiny sculpture painted with colorful glazes and accents of 24-karat gold and platinum. Sholeh also makes lightweight birch earrings, marbled with acrylic paint and accented with a single bead. The birch earrings and many of the porcelain jewelry pieces are reversible.
In addition to jewelry, Sholeh creates sculptures and monoprints of birds. She sees birds as a symbol of freedom, transcending borders and fences, belonging to whatever place they happen to land. The small clay bird sculptures can be hung on a wall. Reproductions of the original monotypes are available as cards.
Sholeh planned to study medicine, but after taking a sculpture class at Boston University’s School of Fine Arts, she settled on a career in the arts. She works out of her studio in Somerville, Massachusetts and has taught many classes in sculpture, drawing and mixed media in the Boston area.
